What you have to do..

Produce a promotional package for a new film, to include:
1. A film trailer, which is between 2-3 minutes long
2. A film magazine front cover, featuring your own film, using InDesign
3. A poster for the film using Photoshop

All material must be put onto your own blog, to include:
1. Evidence of planning your project- schedules, storyboards, shoots, ideas, theme board...
2. Research of similiar trailers, posters and film magazines from your genre, style, chosen audience

Some questions to aid you in your analysis of these and other posters:
  • How does the text on R & J support the pictures and give the reader info. about the key themes of the film?
  • Why have the bullets been arranged in this way?
  • Comment on the stance, clothing, and appearance of the Trainspotting actors. What do these things tell us about their chatacters?
  • Why do the actors gaze directly into the camera? What is the effect?
  • Why do you think the creators have chosen to use black and white, with a large block of orange as their colour scheme for Trainspotting?
  • Comment on the layout of Back to the Future. Where is the eye led to first? Why is it led there? What line is the eye then encouragred to follow?
  • Why does Back to the Future have a small caption or blurb on the poster?
